Welcome to the Radiotherapy Recovery Clinic
The effects of radiation therapy don't always show up right away and they aren't always visible to others. If you've been living with symptoms that are hard to explain, or felt like your experience wasn't fully understood, you're not alone, and you're in the right place.
We provide specialized, physician-led care for the long-term and often overlooked effects of radiotherapy, combining medical treatment with personalized, ongoing support to restore tissue health and help you reclaim your recovery.

Who We Serve
We see patients who are currently receiving or have previously received radiotherapy for cancer. We support individuals at all stages of their journey: from those actively in treatment to long-term survivors experiencing delayed effects.
Many of our patients have been living with these effects for years, often without a clear path forward. That changes here.
What is Radiotherapy?
Radiation therapy is a highly effective and widely used treatment for cancer. It uses advanced technology to deliver precise, high-energy X-rays that target and destroy cancer cells.
Over the past few decades, it has significantly improved outcomes and continues to play a critical role in cancer care.

Our Clinic
The Radiotherapy Recovery Clinic, formerly known as the Radiotherapy Late Effects Clinic, was established in 2016 by Dr. Wayne Evans to provide specialized care for patients across Ontario experiencing complications from radiation therapy.
The clinic builds on a strong foundation rooted in the Adult Radiotherapy Late Effects Clinic at Princess Margaret Hospital, co-founded in 2000 by Dr. Wilfred Levin and Dr. Evans, which has supported over 1,000 patients.
Over time, the clinic’s scope has expanded to better reflect a more comprehensive, forward-focused approach to care. This evolution led to its recent rebrand as the Radiotherapy Recovery Clinic, emphasizing not only the management of radiation complications but also patient recovery, quality of life, and long-term well-being.
